How to add nearest parcel locker auto-selection to your Shopify checkout

This article explains how to set up nearest parcel locker auto-selection in your Shopify checkout.

Customers choose their preferred parcel locker brand at checkout. After the order is imported into Swotzy, the system automatically assigns the nearest parcel locker of that brand based on the customer’s delivery address.

This feature works on all Shopify plans.

 

Result after setup

Once configured:

  • Customers choose their preferred parcel locker brand at checkout

  • Orders are automatically imported into Swotzy

  • The nearest parcel locker of the selected brand (within 5 km) is automatically assigned

  • No manual parcel locker selection is required

You can generate the shipping label as soon as the order appears in Swotzy.

 

Before you start

Make sure that:

• Your Shopify store is connected to Swotzy
• A “Nearest parcel locker” delivery method is created in your Shopify admin

Step 1 — Create parcel locker delivery methods in Shopify

To allow customers to choose their preferred parcel locker brand:

  1. Log in to your Shopify Admin

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Click Shipping and delivery

  4. Under your shipping profile, click General shipping rates

  5. Select your existing shipping zone (for example: Latvia)

  6. Click Edit rate

Add a delivery method for each parcel locker brand you want to offer:

  • Example: “Omniva parcel locker – nearest to address”

  • Example: “DPD parcel locker – nearest to address”

  • Set the delivery price

  • Click Done to save

Customers will now see separate delivery options for each parcel locker brand.

 

Step 2 — Set up auto-selection in Swotzy

  1. Log in to app.swotzy.com

  2. Go to Integrations → Stores

  3. Click the ⚙️ icon next to your connected Shopify store

  4. Open the Settings section

  5. Navigate to Shipping methods

 

Step 3 — Create the auto-selection rule

To automatically assign the nearest parcel locker for each brand:

  1. Click the yellow + New action button

  2. Copy the exact delivery method name from your Shopify checkout

  3. Paste it into the Method name field

  4. Set Matching type to Exact

  5. In Action type, select Find closest parcelshop

  6. Choose the corresponding courier service provider

  7. Click Add to save

Repeat this setup for each parcel locker brand you offer.

 

Auto-selection is now active.

 

What happens after setup

When a customer selects a parcel locker brand at checkout:

• The order is imported into Swotzy (usually within 15 minutes)
• Swotzy automatically finds the nearest parcel locker of the selected brand within a 5 km radius
• The assigned parcel locker appears in the shipment details

The customer chooses the brand.
Swotzy selects the exact pickup location.
