This article gives you an overview of how to create shipments on Swotzy. Whether you're sending a single parcel or managing multiple orders, Swotzy lets you compare carrier prices, generate shipping labels, and arrange pickups in one place.
Ways to Create Shipments
There are several ways to create shipments on Swotzy. This article covers manual creation. You can also import multiple shipments at once using file import, connect your e-commerce store via one of our integrations, or use the Swotzy API to automate shipment creation.
- Manual creation — create shipments one at a time directly in the platform. Covered in this article.
- File import — upload multiple shipments at once using a spreadsheet file. See How to Bulk Upload Shipments via File Import.
- Integrations — connect your e-commerce store to Swotzy so that orders are imported automatically. See our integration guides in the [Integrations section].
- API — automate shipment creation from your own system. See the Swotzy API documentation.
Before You Start
Make sure that:
- You have an active Swotzy account
- You are logged in at app.swotzy.com
Step 1 — Open the Create Shipment window
- Log in to your Swotzy account
- Click the Create Shipment button in the top right corner of the page
- Select a delivery type
The steps below are a general guide. Each delivery type has a dedicated article that covers the full shipment creation process in detail:
- Courier Delivery — the shipment is delivered directly to the recipient's address by a courier. See How to Create a Courier Delivery Shipment.
- To Parcel Locker — the shipment is delivered to a parcel shop or locker for the recipient to collect. See How to Create a Parcel Shop Shipment.
- Pallets — for large or heavy shipments transported on pallets, picked up and delivered by a courier. See How to Create a Pallet Shipment.
Step 2 — Enter sender and recipient details
Your sender details are filled in automatically under Ship From. Update them if you are shipping from a different address.
Fill in the recipient's details in the Ship To section. For parcel shop shipments, select the destination parcel shop instead of entering a street address.
Step 3 — Enter shipment details
Enter your package dimensions and weight. For pallet shipments, select a pallet type and enter the height and weight. For parcel shop shipments within the Baltics, no dimensions are required.
If you are shipping internationally, add item details in the Packages section. For shipments outside the EU, you will also need to provide customs information. For a full walkthrough, see How to fill in customs information.
Step 4 — Select a courier and generate the label
Review the available carrier services in the Order summary panel on the right. Click your preferred service, then click Create Label to generate the shipping label. From the summary view, download the label and schedule a free courier pickup.
