This integration settings feature provides automatic shipment processing and label creation according to your selected courier service.
💡
To set up this automation, you need to integrate the Swotzy platform with your online store's Shopify account.
Learn how to integrate both platforms in this article.
Defining delivery methods in the Shopify admin panel
If you currently do not offer the option of courier delivery in your online store's checkout section, you can configure it by following these steps:
-
Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
-
Go to the Settings section, which you will find at the bottom left corner of the page.
-
In the Settings section, on the left side, you will find the Shipping and delivery section.
-
To edit delivery zones and shipping methods, click on the General Shipping rates subsection.
-
To configure shipping methods, choose an existing delivery zone, for example, Latvia, and click Edit rate on the right side or add a new delivery method by clicking the Add rate button.
-
Add or configure existing shipping methods, specifying the method name, price, and, if necessary, a small additional explanation.
-
When the necessary adjustments have been made, click Done.
💡
Make sure all products in the Shopify admin panel have the product weight and HS code specified.
To automatically generate a shipping label when importing shipments from the Shopify platform, one of the prerequisites is to define the correct weight and HS code (for international shipments) in the Shopify admin panel. You can check/update this information by:
-
Logging into your Shopify account;
-
Going to the Products section;
-
Clicking on a specific product and entering the required information in the Shipments section.
Setting up automation in the Swotzy platform
Once the new shipping methods have been set up in Shopify, they need to be added to the Swotzy platform, and you need to define which courier service you want this delivery option to use in the Swotzy platform.
To do this:
-
Go to app.swotzy.com and log in to your account.
-
In the menu on the left sidebar, click on the Integrations section and click on the ⚙️ icon for your integrated store.
-
Clicking on this icon will open the integration settings view.
-
To set up automation, go to the Shipping Methods settings section.
Defining shipment methods and courier service
To add a specific courier service to the shipping method defined in your online store, follow these steps:
-
Click on the yellow + New Action button.
-
Copy the specific shipping method name from your website's checkout section and paste it into the Method name field in the platform settings.
-
If you want only the nearest parcel lockers to be matched for this specific shipping method, choose Matching type - Exact.
-
In the Action type field, select the option - Use courier delivery service.
-
Choose a specific courier service provider and a specific service.
-
Click Add to save the automation.
Automatic weight calculation and package size definition
To automatically generate a shipping label for the imported shipment and assign the status Ready in the Swotzy platform:
-
In the integration settings section, check the option to automatically calculate the total shipment weight for imported products by clicking - Calculate package weight from shipping items.
-
In the Default package section, enter the parameters of the most commonly used shipment package. If you use a different package size, you can manually change it.
Automation example
After setting up the automation, when the buyer chooses the specific courier delivery method, the purchase will be imported into the Shipments section of the Swotzy platform within 15 minutes.
If all the necessary data for the shipment is specified correctly, a shipping label will automatically be generated for this imported shipment in the Swotzy platform.
Generating a shipping label for the imported purchase
-
If the shipment status is Ready, the shipment is successfully processed, and you can print the shipping label and schedule a courier call.
-
If the shipment status is Action Needed, click the Edit button in the top right corner of the shipment summary view to add the missing information.
