Credit notes may be issued by Swotzy if one or more claims you have submitted are approved by the carrier. This article explains how credit notes work and how they can be applied to your invoices.
Credit Note Format: CR-YYYY-MM-RR (e.g. CR-2026-02-RR)
R's represent a randomised internal identifier assigned by our system.
How Can a Credit Note Be Used?
Credit notes can be used to fully or partially pay any Swotzy invoice in one of the following ways:
- Manually — subtract the credit note amount from an open invoice and pay the remaining balance
- Automatically — Swotzy can apply any open credit notes to your monthly invoice automatically
When Is a Credit Note Issued?
Credit notes are issued alongside your monthly invoice when one or more claims you have submitted have been approved by the carrier.
Note: If you have any outstanding invoices or unpaid debts at the time a credit note is issued, the credit note will first be applied to cover those outstanding amounts rather than being issued to you directly.
